UConn’s Auriemma Can Feel Stringer’s Pain: Both coaches have had their teams hurt by injuries.

Geno Auriemma's not going to cast any stones at Rutgers' coach C. Vivian Stringer for the venom she displayed toward her team in a conference call Sunday. “Wednesday, I could wake up and feel 10 times worse than what Vivian's feeling right now depending on what happens (today),” Auriemma, the UConn women's basketball coach, said Monday afternoon with a laugh. “I think we all have it (the capability to throw a tantrum). I have it. It just probably hasn't come out. Sometimes you let it all come out. It makes you feel better, that's for sure.” Top-ranked UConn (21-0, 8-0 Big East Conference) is scheduled to meet rival Rutgers for the first of two regular-season meetings at 7 tonight (CSTV) at the raucous and traditionally sold-out Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J.
