Terps women’s basketball season will be balancing act: New assistants, Frese’s pregnancy will force team leaders to emerge.

For Maryland women's basketball coach Brenda Frese, the coming season pledges to be a matter of balancing additions and subtractions with a hope of getting a final result equal to what she received two years ago, namely a national championship. The additions to Frese's life and the Terrapins program aren't hard to see. The coach, in her sixth year here, is expecting the arrival of twins with her husband, Mark Thomas, in March, or right around the time Maryland, generally picked nationally in the top five, is expecting to make a tournament run.
Women's hoops, and nothin' but the hoops.
