Staley’s coaching resume keeps growing.

Dawn Staley left her native Philadelphia on her journey to prove she is one of the best women's basketball players this country has ever produced. Maybe that's why she's hell-bent on demonstrating her coaching abilities in her hometown, which has the reputation of being perhaps the toughest sports town around. ``You're only one loss away from being booed here in Philly,'' Staley said. ``But that's why I like it -- it's real. Fans show their appreciation where it's due. If you're not doing what you're supposed to do, they'll shun you.'' Or worse. Staley, now in her eighth season as Temple University's women's basketball coach, is doing quite nicely in the City of Brotherly Love, thank you.
Women's hoops, and nothin' but the hoops.
