Witnesses for Fresno State fired two shots at the credibility of Stacy Johnson-Klein on Monday, alleging the former women's basketball coach concocted a scheme with her staff to get an improper bonus and forced players to join her husband in a discussion about sex. The 2002 bonus issue is complex and has been the source of testimony by three witnesses in this sexual-discrimination trial, entering its seventh week in Fresno County Superior Court. Defense attorneys have begun presenting their case, hoping to persuade jurors that the university properly fired Johnson-Klein for unprofessional behavior.
