"We're playing such a waiting game, it's driving me crazy," Sun coach Mike Thibault said last week. "I have scenarios, but we don't know how many core players each team is allowed to have. That will impact the number of free agents that are out there. It impacts when we can start signing players, when we can talk to free agents. I have no idea when that's going to happen." Negotiations are ongoing between the WNBA and the players union, but the league would not comment on them. Calls to the union were not returned. So Thibault is concentrating on the college draft. "I'm devoting more time to that early so I can devote other time to free agency and all that when it happens," he said.
