Auburn’s extra gear too much for Buckeyes.
Auburn brought a lesson in speed to the Ohio State women's basketball team yesterday in the championship of the Buckeye Classic. During the course of the game, the 24th-ranked Tigers (6-0) explained with the backs of their uniforms that they had more oomph in the engine than the 15th-ranked Buckeyes (5-1), and they used it to run to a 67-58 upset victory in St. John Arena. "I feel like we have an athletic advantage over a lot of teams," Auburn coach Nell Fortner said. "Our kids handle the ball well, and they can put it on the floor to score. And I think that is a very difficult thing to guard."
Women's hoops, and nothin' but the hoops.
