This season, the Atlantic 10 has been all over national media for its talent and success on the men's basketball court. However, the conference is starting to make noise on the women's side, too. George Washington is ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Top 25 polls. The Colonials went undefeated in conference play last season. Their only in-conference loss was by two points to Saint Joseph's in the conference tournament. The Colonials earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament and lost to North Carolina in the Sweet 16. All-American point guard Kimberly Beck leads coach Joe McKeown's team. The women's basketball team at Dayton is taking a backseat to its men, but the women's turnaround could be one of the bigger stories of the season. The Flyers finished last season with a 12-19 record, ninth in the conference. After an 0-2 start, the Flyers have reeled off 16 consecutive wins, including an upset victory over Temple Saturday night.
