Atlanta's new WNBA franchise will be, literally, the dream team. Taking its cue from the city's history — and eschewing the tendency of local teams to name themselves for birds — the women's pro basketball franchise will announce its choice of a name Wednesday: The Atlanta Dream. The name will be formally unveiled at a news conference this afternoon, but team owner Ron Terwilliger confirmed the choice to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday. "It seems to me it's a really consistent name with Atlanta and its history," Terwilliger said.
