Ashley Walker guided Cal’s rise to power.
If not for a persistent sell job by friend and future Cal teammate Shantrell Sneed, Ashley Walker might be at Georgia Tech right now. But the more important question is: where would the Cal women's basketball program be without Walker? Walker is both the constant and the catalyst for the Bears as they have risen in national stature over the past three years. While classmates Alexis Gray-Lawson and Devanei Hampton have battled through knee injuries and spent a fair share of time watching from the bench over the past two years, Walker has become one of the Pac-10s most consistent standouts.
