After big win, UConn women back to business.
It was one of the most memorable regular-season wins in some time for the UConn women's basketball team. Without three injured starters, it rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat No. 3 North Carolina going away Monday at Gampel Pavilion. The victory made a statement about the heart and perseverance of the Huskies. But as far as junior Renee Montgomery is concerned, the victory is ancient history. "I feel like you should treat a win as if you lost and think, 'All right, what did we do bad,"' Montgomery said. "That's the mentality I come into it with, because we won, but we didn't blow them out. So there's plenty of things that we could've done better. And we might play a better team in the future, so we can't just be stuck on the UNC win."
