Parker - the 2007 John R. Wooden Award Player of the Year - had not played in Chicago or its suburbs since graduating from Naperville Central in 2004. "I was very excited to come back home to play in front of my family and friends," Parker said. "Obviously, I apologize to my teammates and my coaches and my family and friends, and Chicago in general, for not being able to play the first half. Coach is very strict on discipline and I broke the rules so I suffered the consequences."
