A Bittersweet Day In The History Of Connecticut Sun Franchise.

Katie Douglas gave the women's basketball fans of Connecticut plenty of moments in five seasons. She gave us even more than that. She tried. She cared. She played defense. She played hurt. She gave us a wry grin, brilliant sarcasm and good answers, too. She was a deserving face of the Connecticut Sun franchise. All of you who go to the games should feel a twinge of the blues today, upon the news that she's been traded to Indiana. Just so long as you also understand this: Katie Douglas was traded to Indiana because she wanted to be traded to Indiana. Douglas, a native of Indianapolis, has family members there and a home at which she spends roughly three weeks per year. So you may ask, “How could the Sun do this?” The answer is, “Because Katie Douglas wanted it this way.”
Women's hoops, and nothin' but the hoops.
